“You could never afford those!” The woman’s words stung. I’d never owned a pair of prescription sunglasses before.

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Psalm 139:13 NIV Very few people have any sense or recollection of the time before they were born. Perhaps this is because we simply didn’t exist, but it is also possible that our souls or spirits existed before our birth and that we have no memory of this prior existence.

A Trooper in Southern Minnesota recently took a report from a concerned bicyclist and asked to have this information passed along. This person rides bicycle, has a flashing white light to the front and flashing red light to the rear, wears a helmet, has a mirror, follows the rules of the road, rides in bicycle lanes where provided and always near the fog line when there is no bicycle lane. The bicyclist is concerned of vehicles driving past and not giving 3 feet or more room when passing. The bicyclist has nearly been hit multiple times.

Ramlings, Part II It’s awfully quiet. The midnight mooing has ceased as the window remains open allowing minimal movement of cool air.

Another week (and holiday) has passed this is September. The days are getting shorter. The work seems longer with less time to get it done.

By now you should have your second garden planted. There are two months (60 days) for results. Not to mention the results of the original garden. The produce is most appreciated especially during the winter.

There is still much outside work to get done. .Last week we mentioned planting trees and shrubs this time of year to help them get established before winter sets in. More about that in future columns.

The Early Church with both Jew and Gentile believers were having a great time as multitudes were getting saved, healed and delivered. For example, read Acts 8:5-12. There was great joy in the Church and the men and women who had become believers were being baptized in water.
