RELAY FOR LIFE MURRAY COUNTY

August 14th is fast approaching. The Relay Committee is working hard to keep everyone safe and also to have a great Relay experience. Hours of the Relay this year are 5 PM to 10 PM.

Survivors are invited to enjoy a drive thru meal this year. Serving will begin at 5 PM. Lineup will start by the museum. Survivors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and sit by their vehicle or in the common area of the fairgrounds between the racetrack and the bingo stand. Social distancing is encouraged. Entertainment will be provided by Cornerstone Quartet beginning at 5 PM. There will be a short Relay program beginning at 7 pm. Luminaries will be lit and on the track at the start of this year’s event. There will be a survivor lap as well as a butterfly release sponsored by Totzke Funeral Home. There will be silent auction items in the 4H building for your bidding enjoyment. The Pork Producers as well as the Dairy Association will be selling Pork and Malts at the South End of the Fairground beginning at 5 PM.

A closing ceremony will be celebrated at 9:30. If you are a survivor and planning on attending the Drive Thru meal please call Linda Tobias at 763- 3173 to register along with your T Shirt size. If you are a new cancer survivor and have not previously registered, please consider calling Linda and get registered to take part in the activities. Survivor meal will be provided others riding in the car along with the survivor will be charged regular price for the meal.
