GET THE DIRT

Roses need about 1 inch of water (5-6 gallons per plant) per week. If you have clay soils, apply all at once. For sandy soils, make two applications of 3 gallons each week.

Wait until next spring to fertilize newly planted tree. Fertilizing now may damage newly forming roots. Watch your established trees for signs of nutrient deficiencies. Wait until the trees are dormant (fall) to add any nutrients.

Neem oil is a natural insecticide that kills many pests, but it is safe for residential use.
