Murray County 4-H hosted a new workshop called Livestock 101, which was put on by Murray County 4-H staff along with youth and volunteers involved in our program.

The first workshop was held at 6 p.m., Friday, April 19 at the Murray County 4-H Building. This was a free event for current members to attend as well as potential families that were interested in joining 4-H.

“This workshop brought light to new families on what is required to take care of various species as well as the equipment needed. We had local families step up and really show how great these project areas can be for new families to be a part of” said Kim Hause, Murray County 4-H youth development educator.

We had thirty-two youth participate in this event in conjunction with ten adult volunteers present.
