The ‘Mark of the Beast,’ mentioned in the book of Revelations chapter 13:, has both frightened, and fascinated Christians and non-Christians alike for many centuries. Millions of booklets are being sent out today and one may have landed in your mailbox.
These booklets inform us that if we worship God on Sunday rather than on Saturday, we have received the ‘Mark of the Beast’. Space does not allow me to expound on this subject. However, it is causing much fear and confusion among Christians who are ignorant of the Scriptures. There is some truth in these booklets, but to tell us that the ‘Mark of the Beast’ came into being hundreds and hundreds of years ago is totally false teaching. We are told that if we are not worshipping God on Saturday that we have the ‘Mark’ and we are doomed for all eternity.
Revelation 13: speaks of the Anti-christ and the False Prophet who will come on the scene on a future date. Anti-christ will attempt to become the leader of the coming One World Government. The False Prophet will work to get all the people to worship the Anti-christ. Our world is heading in this direction today but it has not happened yet. When the Anti-christ announces to the world that he is God; he then puts his ‘Mark’ into affect. This happens in the middle of the tribulation.
I encourage you to study, not the booklets, but study the Word of God for truth. I fully believe that the true Christians will be caught up off the earth to be with Jesus forever, then the tribulation will happen.
