The MCC Boys Golf team had a beautiful day to golf at the Marshall Golf Course besides the wind. After a few meets with cold and windy conditions, the players were itching to get outside and play a round in some nicer weather. The Rebels faced quite a few challenging opponents, but finished strong overall.
Coach Kim DeLong noted that most of the players golfed more relaxed than in the past few meets. Jett Veldhuisen finished in the front of the pack for the Rebels with a score of 90. Veldhuisen carded three pars and one birdie for the day, finishing tied for 33rd place out of 99 golfers. MCC’s team total was 373 landing them tied for 11th place. The Rebels team score was rounded out by Kaden Landsman, Hudson Schryvers, and Lucas Kuball.
The Rebels continue making improvements individually as the season progresses, and the team score average continues to decrease. The Rebels will begin conference play next week and will need to continue this momentum going forward.
